Brendon Urie, the only musician left from the original group, announced the band’s decision in a post on the band’s Instagram page on Tuesday, The Washington Post reported.

“It’s been a hell of a journey,” Urie wrote. “Growing up in Vegas I could’ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we’ve made along the way.”

Urie, 35, whose songs with Panic! at the Disco include the album “Death of a Bachelor” in 2016, said that he and his wife, Sarah, are expecting a baby and that he wants to focus on his growing family, the Post reported.

“The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure,” Urie wrote on Instagram.

The group released seven albums, according to Variety. It formed in 2004 when Urie and co-founders Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, and Brent Wilson were in high school in Las Vegas, according to the entertainment news website.

Their first album, “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out,” was released in 2006 and featured the hit single, “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” Variety reported. The album was certified triple platinum and went to No. 1 on the Billboard album charts. The group hit No. 1 again two years later with the album, “Pray For the Wicked.”

The band had 15 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, with 2019′s “High Hopes” peaking at No. 4. “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The album “Death of a Bachelor” earned a Grammy Award nomination for best rock album in 2016. The group also was nominated for a Grammy for best boxed or special limited edition package for “Pretty. Odd.”

Smith left the band unofficially in 2013 and for good two years later, Variety reported.

The band’s final tour begins in Vienna on Feb. 20 and concludes in Manchester, England, on March 10, according to Variety.
