Chaos at the Capitol: Virginia man arrested at DC checkpoint with gun, unauthorized credentials

The fallout continues after supporters of President Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, as lawmakers were gathered to ratify former Vice President Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential election win. Five people died as a result of the unrest, including a Capitol police officer, and dozens of people face charges.
President-elect Joe Biden spoke to the nation Thursday night, addressing the COVID-19 pandemic and the economy and unveiling a two-step plan of recovery.
