Suzanne Scott, a spokesperson for the Federal Correctional Complex Lompoc, said Gianulli, 57, reported to the medium-security penitentiary in Santa Barbara, California, Entertainment Tonight reported.

Giannulli and Loughlin were two of the high-profile parents involved in a college admissions scandal, admitting they paid William “Rick” Singer $500,000 to get their two daughters admitted into the University of South California, CNN reported. The couple admitted to paying the bribes to have their daughters labeled as recruits for the USC crew team, although neither participated in the sport.

Loughlin is currently serving a two-month sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution Dublin, NBC News reported. Loughlin’s facility is located about 270 miles south of where Giannulli is serving his sentence, the network reported.

In August, Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison, two years of supervised release, a fine of $250,000 and 250 hours of community service. He pleaded guilty in May to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud and honest services wire and mail fraud, according to Entertainment Tonight.

According to Bureau of Prisons records, Loughlin is scheduled to be released on Dec. 28, the website reported.

Nearly 60 people have been charged in the scheme led by Singer, who worked with investigators and recorded his conversations with parents and coaches to build the cases against them, according to The Associated Press.
