Three people were wounded near the Deer District of the city at about 9:12 p.m. CDT, WISN-TV reported. That was near the end of Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals, where Boston defeated Milwaukee 108-95 to force a seventh game. The shooting sent fans near the packed Fiserv Forum fleeing through the streets, the television station reported.

Seventeen people were shot about two hours later in the downtown area, WTMJ-TV and WISN reported.

Update 1:47 p.m. EDT May 14: Following Friday’s shooting incidents, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson issued a curfew for individuals under the age of 21 for Saturday and Sunday nights in the downtown area, WTMJ-TV reported. The curfew will run from 11 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. CDT.

During a Saturday afternoon news conference, Milwaukee police also shared details on a third shooting incident, which increased the number of shooting victims to 21.

The previously unannounced shooting downtown occurred at about 10:30 p.m. CDT, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. A 20-year-old man was shot and injured on North Water Street near West Highland Avenue, the newspaper reported. His injury was not considered to be life-threatening.

Johnson said it was not clear if the Bucks would be allowed to hold a watch party for Game 7 in the Deer District on Sunday, WISN-TV reported.

Original report: Police said a 29-year-old man is in custody for the first shooting, according to The Associated Press.

The victims in the second group of shootings range from 15 to 47 years of age, WISN reported. All were expected to survive.

Ten people have been taken into custody so far for the second shooting, and nine guns have been recovered, WTMJ reported.

According to Milwaukee Police Department Capt. Warren Allen, a 16-year-old girl, a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were wounded after the first shootings, WISN and WDJT reported. The man was shot in the foot and the girl was wounded in her leg, Allen said.

The man and the girl were taken to an area hospital, while the woman drove herself to a hospital, WDJT-TV reported. All three suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening, WISN reported.

Videos shared on social media showed hundreds of people running out of the Deer District shortly after the game ended. The Bucks said earlier in the evening that 11,000 people were in the Deer District for a watch party, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Witnesses told WTMJ-TV that they saw a fight outside a Deer District bar near the end of the game.

Police continue to investigate the shootings.

The Celtics will host Game 7 on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. EDT in Boston.
