Jacksonville, Fl — The State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of a Clay County house fire that left two people dead.
Clay County Fire Rescue crews responded to the home on Kristi Court around 10:20 pm Wednesday. Heavy smoke and fire would not allow a search initially. Once the fire was suppressed, firefighters discovered two bodies inside.
A neighbor told Action News Jax Reporter Jessica Barreto that a woman in her 80s and her adult daughter lived in the home.
