JSO searching for vehicle, driver in deadly hit and run on westside

Pedestrian was killed on Saturday at 9:30 pm.

Jacksonville, Fl — The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office has released information about a suspect vehicle involved in a deadly hit and run crash from the westside.

A woman was hit and killed around 9:30 pm Saturday as she was attempted to cross Lane Avenue south of Park Street near the Cedar River.

The woman has not been publicly identified by police. She died as a result of injuries.

Investigators say the vehicle involved may be a 2007 or 2008 Chrysler 200 or Dodge Avenger, either champagne or light cold in color (like the one pictured). The vehicle would have damage to the front reflector on the driver’s side bumper area, and may be missing the driver’s side mirror.

Anyone with information about the vehicle, or the suspect, is urged to contact JSO at 904-630-0500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. A reward of $3,000 is available.
