Florida Blue will offer free flu shots for everyone age 3 and up

Florida Blue will be offering free flu shots to everyone age 3 and up regardless of health insurance coverage starting on Oct. 17.

The flu shots will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at all Florida Blue Centers in Jacksonville. After Oct. 17, the event will be open on every following Wednesday and Saturday up until Wednesday, Dec. 9.

It will be a drive-up event outside of the Florida Blue Centers so participants will be asked to remain in the car and wait for a Walgreens pharmacist to come out.

Adult participants will receive a $10 Walgreens gift card while supplies last.

Masks will be required and Florida Blue will also offer other vaccinations for free through health insurance or for purchase. Other vaccinations offered are pneumonia, shingles, Tdap, Hepatitis A and B and MMR for measles, mumps and rubella.
