Duval County Health Department launches new site to schedule coronavirus vaccination appointments

Jacksonville FL — On Thursday evening, the Duval County Health Department launched a new site to make it easier for people who want to make an appointment to get a coronavirus vaccine. We reported Wednesday when the health department said they were working to have the site up and running before the end of the week.

The health department says they’re only vaccinating people 65 and older and health care and EMS workers with direct patient care. Previously the only way you could have made an appointment was though a dedicated phone line which is closed Thursday and Friday for New Year and wouldn’t have reopened until Monday morning when vaccinations start.

Once the phone line reopens Monday you can call 904-253-1140 to make an appointment.
