WANDA P began her radio career at AM 1360 WCGL, Jacksonville, Florida, in February 1999 as a weekend announcer. Joining the staff of Gospel 1400 WZAZ in 2003, she quickly jumped through the ranks to become the station’s Assistant Program Director. In 2006, she co-created and co-hosted a once-weekly specialty program called “The Show”. Known for its wit, ‘The Show’ gained enormous popularity among Jacksonville’s gospel radio listeners and garnered many fans in the national Gospel music scene. She has interviewed many notable Gospel artists and personalities. Efforts which led to Gospel Today Magazine recognizing WZAZ in their 2007 Annual Report as one of “Gospel’s Top 25 Radio Stations” in the country!  

She quickly became known throughout the industry as a sought after professional in the Gospel music and radio industries. In 2009 she was appointed as Vice President of the Florida Gospel Announcers Guild (FGAG) where she served for nearly nine years. In January 2010 she became a columnist for the online magazine for independent Christian artists, AIRPLAY 360. In April of that year, Wanda became the host and producer of a new 1-hour radio show for independent artists called THE INDEPENDENT SHOWCASE (TIS). In under a year, TIS became CJB Radio’s (internet) most listened to program, and from there, the internet came calling. The show eventually was broadcast on 8 other internet stations, and was also heard on terrestrial stations in North Little Rock, Arkansas on KVDW 1530 AM; in the Carribean on the island of St. Kitts/Nevis on Praise FM 99.3; in Kampala, Uganda on Spirit FM 96.6; and on Radio Graaff-Reinet 90.2 FM in Eastern Cape, South Africa. 

Wanda was appointed Vice President of Parriscope Entertainment Inc’s PEInc Gospel record label in 2011, and was responsible for marketing and promotions for the labels first artist, BET Sunday Best Season 2 finalist Dontavies Boatwright. At the time of his death in 2012, Wanda and the PEInc Gospel team had just released Boatwright’s 1st and only single “Glory To Glory: Sunday Best Medley”.

In 2012, Wanda became co-creator and co-owner of POD-FM, an urban contemporary digital station specializing in positive R&B music. In its short existence, the station garnered partnerships with UP TV, Kingdom Plaza Mall, and The Ritz Theatre; and was the exclusive station broadcasting the Edward Waters College Tigers football games.

Today, Wanda continues work in radio and entertainment. She does voice-overs for radio and television and consults with independent artists, musicians and radio personalities. Since 2015 she’s been a producer and announcer for the historic Ritz Theater Puttin’ On The Ritz Amateur Night. In 2017, Wanda joined the staff of HOT 99.5 FM as the producer for the Tom Joyner Morning Show. Recently, she began hosting HOT 99.5’s The Glory of Gospel Radio Show.
