Sponsor will not be responsible for loss of text messaging service to either Sponsor or any participant, or for a failure in receiving an Entry due to malfunction of any network or system, congestion, any technical or human error, failures or malfunctions of any kind, including the congestion, overload, busy signals, or any other factor. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any Entries by persons who submit false or misleading Entry information or who Sponsor determines to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute, an Entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the account from which the text message was sent. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to a telephone number or other identifier automatically associated with the text message by a wireless service provider that is responsible for assigning the same. The use of multiple identities and/or accounts is prohibited, and any attempt to obtain more than the stated number of Entries will void that participant’s Entries and may result in participant’s disqualification.

All Entries become property of Sponsor and none will be returned. Any questions regarding the number of Entries submitted will be determined and resolved by Sponsor in its sole discretion.

4. Listen Time Drawing Winner Selection and Odds

At approximately fifteen (15) minutes after each Listen Time, Sponsor will conduct one (1) random drawing from among all eligible Entries received from among all Stations for that Listen Time. For the avoidance of doubt, this is a national sweepstakes and each Listen Time Drawing is conducted from among all eligible Entries received from eligible entrants. Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to call the potential winner, within fifteen (15) minutes of the conclusion of each text deadline (by 8:30 a.m. ET, 12:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. ET and 4:30 p.m. ET). If these three (3) attempts go unanswered, Sponsor may select an alternate potential Winner from remaining Entries received during the applicable Listen Time. There will be a total of four (4) winners announced each weekday, and a total of one hundred four (104) drawings, during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning will depend on the total number of eligible Entries received for a given Listen Time.

5. Prize Description

There will be a total of one hundred four (104) winners announced during the Sweepstakes Period.

Subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules, the potential winners will win the following prizes based on the weekday such potential winner was selected:

  • Each potential winner selected on any Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday during the Sweepstakes Period (March 22– April 26, 2018) will receive a check for one thousand dollars ($1,000);
  • Each potential winner selected on any Thursday during the Sweepstakes Period (March 22, March 29, April 5, April 12, April 19, and April 26, 2018) will receive a check for five thousand dollars ($5,000).

The total value of all prizes awarded under this Sweepstakes is two-hundred thousand dollars ($200,000).

Limit: One (1) prize per person.

6. Winner Notification and Acceptance. Sponsor will make three (3) attempts to call each potential winner, within ten (15) minutes of the conclusion of each text deadline (by 8:30 a.m. ET, 12:30 p.m. ET, 2:30 p.m. ET and 4:30 p.m. ET). If these three (3) attempts go unanswered, Sponsor may select an alternate potential Winner from remaining Entries received during the applicable Listen Time. Sponsor will not accept return phone calls. Potential Winners must answer their phone when contacted, in order to be a verified potential Winner. To claim his/her prize, the potential winner must personally visit the Station in his/her listening area within forty-eight (48) hours after notification (office visits must be between the hours of 9:00 a.m. ET and 5:00 p.m. ET, weekdays) and must present a valid government-issued photo ID. At that time, the potential winners may also be required to complete an affidavit of eligibility, and a liability and publicity release (except where prohibited by law).

Sponsor’s inability to reach a potential winner after a reasonable (as solely determined by Sponsor) effort has been made, the failure of a potential winner to timely respond to a prize notification, the return of any prize notification as undeliverable, and/or a potential winner’s failure to comply with any term or condition of these Official Rules may, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, result in the potential winner’s disqualification and the selection of a substitute winner by a random drawing from among all remaining eligible Entries received during the applicable Listen Time.

A PARTICIPANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL SPONSOR HAS COMPLETED ITS VERIFICATION OF PARTICIPANT’S ELIGIBILITY.

A winner may waive the right to receive a prize. Prizes are non-assignable. No substitutions allowed by winner. Prizes and individual components of prize packages are subject to availability. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes or components of prize packages with a prize or component of equal or greater value. Winner is solely responsible for reporting and payment of any taxes on a prize. Winner may be required to provide his/her valid Social Security Number to Sponsor for tax purposes and/or complete an IRS W-9 form in order to claim a prize. Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on prize value and, as applicable, will be issued an IRS Form 1099 based on the prize value determined by Sponsor. Prizes not won and claimed by eligible winners in accordance with these Official Rules will not be awarded and will remain the property of Sponsor.

7. Participation. By participating, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor and or administrators selected by Sponsor, which are final and binding in all respects. The use of multiple identities and/or accounts is prohibited, and any attempt to obtain more than the stated number of Entries will void that participant’s Entries and may result in participant’s disqualification. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes as solely determined by Sponsor. In the event the Sweepstakes is compromised by tampering or other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, Sponsor reserves the right to award prizes based on the Entries received before the termination date. Proof of sending or submission of an Entry will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor.

Dangerous content lurking on musical app popular with kids

A cheery, popular music app geared toward children and teens appears to have a dark side, KTVB reported.

>> Read more trending news

Parents are being warned to pay attention to the app Musical.ly, which has more than 200 million users. The app, which can be used on cellphones, is designed to create and share videos of lip-syncing, which seems harmless enough. However, if certain words are typed into the app, disturbing and inappropriate videos could appear, KTVB reported.

Reports of videos that showed children stripping and flashing the camera have surfaced, along with other users “liking” the actions to egg on the participants. Code words are constantly changing in order to skirt the app’s moderators, KTVB reported.

Videos featuring anorexia, suicide and self-harm also have surfaced when certain words are typed into the app, KTVB reported.

David Gomez, a school resource officer in Meridian, Idaho, who teaches an internet safety class, said it's vitally important that parents not only know what their kids are doing online, but to also tell their kids they are watching.

"As a parent, if you show your kid that you are checking on them and that you do care and that you're going to be watching out for their best interest, a lot of times that will help shape their decisions when you're not around," Gomez told KTVB.

Parents can use parental controls to block the Musical.ly app altogether, the station reported.

Five days before the Jaguars play in the AFC Championship Game, running back Leonard Fournette has been involved in an accident.

It happened on the I-295 East Beltway on the Dames Point Bridge today.

Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Dylan Bryan tells WOKV News that Fournette was not at-fault in the three-vehicle crash.

A spokesman for the Jaguars says Fournette’s car was rear-ended and he was not injured.

Are These The 10 Greatest Jock Jams of All Time?

Everyone who has ever been to Everbank Field knows there is a tight playlist of “go-to” songs to get the crowd amped up as the Jags attempt to do anything besides go three-and-out.

Chances are if you grew up in the 90’s you owned some of these songs on one of the “Jock Jams” CDs that were so popular during that decade.

There’s always been heavy debate on these tracks though: Do they do the trick of making tens of thousands of fans rise to their feet, or are they too corny to accomplish anything outside of a embarrassing memory or two?

Billboard.com has decided to add fuel to the fire by ranking what they think are the "The 100 Greatest Jock Jams of All Time."

There were five official volumes of the "Jock Jams" series with a total of 107 songs, but this list isn't limited to those. There are even some recent 'jock jams' on the list.

Here's the Top 10:

1. "We Will Rock You", Queen, 1977

2. "Welcome to the Jungle", Guns N' Roses, 1987

3. "Hip Hop Hooray", Naughty By Nature, 1993

4. "Kernkraft 400", Zombie Nation, 1999

5. "Seven Nation Army", The White Stripes, 2003

6. "Eye of the Tiger", Survivor, 1982

7. "Rock and Roll Part 2", Gary Glitter, 1972

8. "Jump Around", House of Pain, 1992

9. "Crazy Train", Ozzy Osbourne, 1981

10. "Get Ready for This", 2 Unlimited, 1991

Other songs on the list that feel slightly dated at this point: "Whoomp! (There It Is)", "The Final Countdown", and the 90’s techno mega-hit "Sandstorm"

Since you're probably wondering, C&C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" is at #25.

You can check out the full list over at Billboard.com.

Help for Harvey:  Donate to Salvation Army for Disaster Relief

We have all witnessed the horrible images of flooding and utter devastation along the Gulf Coast from Hurricane Harvey.

The storm could end being one of the costliest in American history. Cleanup and recovery will be a years-long effort.

As we have witnessed the heart-wrenching stories, many have wondered how they could help. With such a large-scale disaster, it can be hard to figure out where to start.

We at Cox Media Group Jacksonville were asking that question and began to actively mobilize our partners. We feel for our neighbors, and we know that using our reach on Radio and CBS 47/Fox 30 Action News Jax that we can appeal to Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia.

We turned to the Salvation of Northeast Florida to ask what they needed. The answer was money. It is far too soon to collect and deliver items. That day will eventually come. Money will make the biggest immediate, direct impact.

So we created a 12-hour radiothon, “Help for Harvey”, to raise money for the local Salvation Army to restock their mobile disaster canteen. The canteen has been deployed to Texas, and our goal is to help replenish the supplies so that thousands of people can have a warm, prepared meal.

The Salvation Army estimates it costs $13,000 per day to feed 1,500 people three meals from the canteen. Our goal is to feed as many people for as many days as possible.

That is where you come in. We need you to call our radiothon from 5am-5pm on Thursday, August 31st. The phone number is (904) 697-3326. Every dollar makes a difference, and the more you donate the more people YOU will help to feed.

You can also make a secure, online donation here

You can also make a secure donation at any Vystar Credit Union. Be sure to specify it is for “Help for Harvey” to benefit the Salvation Army of NE Florida.

Or you can make a donation in person to the Salvation Army in NE Florida:328 N Ocean Street Jacksonville, FL32202

Be sure you put DISASTER in the check memo.

The Most Delicious Ice Cream Flavors Ranked

A new poll had people rank the best ice cream flavors, and we fully expected a boring pick at #1 - either chocolate or vanilla.

Apparently we're not quite that boring...

More than 5,000 people voted online at the website Ranker, and Cookies and Cream took first place!

Here are the others in the top ten:

  1. Cookies and cream
  2. Chocolate
  3. Vanilla
  4. Mint chocolate chip
  5. Strawberry (Neapolitan with vanilla, chocolate, AND strawberry came in 12th)
  6. Chocolate chip
  7. French vanilla (If they'd lumped it in with regular vanilla, it probably would have come in first, but they're different though - real "French vanilla" ice cream has eggs in it)
  8. Rocky road
  9. Coffee
  10. Peanut butter cup

Voting has been officially closed on the topic, but that doesn’t mean you can’t debate below. Tell us what you think got the snub!
